Process:
This year's Grade 8 Promotion Ceremony is being held in the new Colonial Middle School gymnasium. The ceremony will begin at 10:30AM on Thursday June 9. Attendance at promotion will require a ticket and is limited to parents of grade 8 students. We are requested that families limit tickets to 1, 2, 3, or 4 depending on their unique family parenting situations. This will allow us to conduct a safe, orderly, and dignified ceremony as our families deserve. Please note that all tickets are general admission and thus do not afford the holder an assigned seat. We ceratinly respect parents' and students' personal preferences to wear or not wear masks. Please note the gym will be filled closed to capacity. Each audience member will need to provide a printed ticket to gain access to the ceremony.
A brief cookie reception will be held in the cafeteria immediately following the promotion ceremony. That reception will occur in the CMS cafeteria. Parents are encouraged to take their child home with them following the reception. For students who do not have a ride home, transportation will be provided for them via our regular 11:45 dismissal buses
How Do I Secure Tickets?
Tickets are available beginning Monday, 5/30. To secure tickets, go to the web address: cmspatriots.ticketleap.com. Once there: 1) Click on CMS Grade 8 Promotion Ceremony 2) Click on Register 3) In the available drop down box, click on the number of tickets you need 4) click on Register 5) Complete all the required fields 6) Click on Register 7) Tickets will be emailed to you 8) Print tickets and bring them to the ceremony for admittance.
What Should I Do With My Tickets?
You will receive your tickets via the email address you provide during the registration process. Please print out a ticket for each person attending. Every attendee will need to present a printed ticket at the ceremony. Tickets will be checked in at the door. Please note, we have adequate seating for parents, garde 8 students, and CMS grade 8 staff, only. We are trusting our parents to limit their ticket requests to PARENTS ONLY.
